What can you do here?

Maybe the scooter is waiting out in the yard. Where you parked it at our nice scooter parking in the middle of our
otherwise car-free courtyard. Alternatively, your organizer you rented it from has been here and left it for you

There are also nice cross-country trails nearby and it is only 3 kilometers to the Vasaloppet trails from us. The Västerdal River flows slowly past just below the hotel and offers

And how did it happen when these two ended up together?
with a hotel in Transtrand, Sälen? Yes you, a completely relevant
question. With the simple answer, as we assume in most things.
Life, fate and a little bit of adventure. A new challenge entirely
easy.

Aaron van den Bos

Aaron grew up in Revelstoke BC Canada. At the age of 22, he started the company Great Canadian Snowmobile Tours with a partner there. Together they began welcoming groups from all over the world for a snowmobile experience in deep snow and high mountains in the late 90s. Aaron knows Revelstoke's snowmobile areas like a glove and has a lot of experience in snowmobiling, tours and events. Eventually, however, a motorcycle girl from Stockholm attracted him in a country he had never heard of. In Sweden, Aaron continued with two-wheeled vehicles and worked for many years with motorcycles at AVA MC and PROBIKE to eventually open his own workshop in Länna outside Stockholm. But everything has a beginning and an end. These days you can find him in the role of hotel manager in Transtrand. He is also a self-taught bartender, snowplowman, carpenter, reservations manager and caretaker at the hotel. Well, you have to wear many hats as a self-employed person. He has a lot of experience with that already.

Jeanette van den Bos

Jeanette grew up in a somewhat motorcycle-crazy self-employed family outside Stockholm. With parents who together ran Stockholm's largest motorcycle department store and a father who both competed, sold and repaired motorcycles and literally still lives for the motorcycle industry, she had a motocross before she even had her first bike. During a snowmobile trip to Canada, she met Aaron and a while later learned handling a scooter in loose snow, importing a stylish Canadian and recruiting a new mechanic for her parents' motorcycle store in Sweden. In the meantime, Jeanette continued with the restaurant business. An archipelago restaurant on Värmdö, an 18th-century café in Nacka and an art gallery in Huddinge are some of the projects that Jeanette has worked on for about 25 years as a self-employed person. With a great passion for events and themes with
details where all seven senses are given space. Jeanette loves everything that has to do with experiences. Food, form, themes, creations, seasons, the atmosphere, interior design and environments. “Having the opportunity to create a completely new place is incredibly exciting and I have lots of ideas here.” At the hotel she works with the arrangements, events, the menu in the restaurant, the environment, marketing and creative future plans. She is happy to find any reason to go home to assignments, friends and family in Stockholm also in combination with the hotel.
