Welcome! Right at the bottom of Sälenfjället, next to the edge of the Västerdalälven river with a snowmobile trail from the farm and walking distance to the Vasalopp start. That's where you'll find us. The hotel BY the mountain. A farm with several different types of accommodation and a campsite. We have a simpler accommodation standard with us but at the same time offer and develop a place full of opportunities with a large restaurant, outdoor stage, relaxation area and conference.
We offer a place with a sense of personality and experiences. A place where all your senses get a chance to be present in your visit, event or arrangement. Here you will find a relaxing experience with tailor-made arrangements, cheerful hospitality and a scenic environment to relax in and enjoy, during your stay. Regardless of the reason for your visit. We operate as an event hotel all year round with our main business during the winter.

SUMMER AT THE HOTEL
Our RV spots are a summer favorite, and we welcome pre-booked events of all kinds – from private gatherings to more official ones. Camps, conferences, parties, and other occasions are all welcome.
RENT THE ENTIRE VENUE?
During summer, it’s possible to rent all or parts of the facility for self-catering.
Note: Only alcohol-free events can be booked without staff on-site.
Ideal for sports groups, summer camps, associations, or even a summer meeting or conference.
We’ll be present as hosts to assist with anything needed.
The venue includes 130 beds in 50 rooms across 4 houses, a large restaurant kitchen, a dining room with approx. 90 seats, conference space, spa with sauna and relaxation area, and large outdoor areas for activities. There’s also direct access to the river from our property.

CYCLING & ULTRAVASAN – AUGUST 2025
Things really kick off here during Vasaloppet’s summer weeks.
We’re perfectly located for cycling to the start line, and we offer plenty of space for teams, dinner in our large dining area, secure bike storage, hoses for bike washing, and – of course – great vibes in a cozy atmosphere.
Hang out in the courtyard or relax indoors – it’s a great place for cyclists.
Lots of RV spots available on-site during summer.
Sauna and relaxation area are included with bookings during these events.

LAST WEEKEND OF AUGUST – TRAIL WORK & HANGOUT
The snowmobile club hosts a trail maintenance weekend and we invite everyone to a casual hangout at our place.
We also offer accommodation this weekend at a great price.
If you ride a snowmobile and want to help maintain the trails while enjoying a fun weekend in good company – get in touch via email or phone.
SEPTEMBER – NOLS WILDERNESS FIRST AID
When accidents or illness happen in the outdoors – this course is highly appreciated and we hope to offer it again.

OCTOBER – SEASONAL CAMPER MOVE-IN WEEKEND
Each fall our seasonal campers move in for winter.
We usually gather everyone for a “Hello Winter” afternoon with games, bonfires, and a cozy get-together for our camping guests.

Depending on snow conditions and what fun is planned, we wrap up the season with a farewell weekend for our seasonal campers in late April.
Our rooms
Welcome to Hotel Vid Fjället, we offer a personal environment during your stay with us. Dear child has many names. From a military facility in the 1900s, converted into accommodation for snowmobile riders in the early 2000s, a hotel by a mountain is now growing. In 2022, a new chapter began on the farm, aimed at a broader audience. We are developing one corner at a time and working one by one to modernize the standard of our rooms and make the entire facility a pleasant place with a great emphasis on personality. There are 50 rooms with approx. 135 beds in four different houses and with different standards. Double rooms and single rooms to 2-4 bed rooms with bunk beds. Cozy areas to socialize are now available in all houses and some possibility for simpler self-catering in a couple of the houses.
About us
Start the day with a delicious breakfast buffet and then go out on the snowmobile that you have parked right outside the window or why not on a ski trip with proximity to fantastic slopes. At Hotellet vid Fjället you can do just that, as you live in the middle of a 400 km snowmobile trail. It is only 7 kilometers to Kläppen and 10 km to Lindvallen for downhill skiing. There are also nice cross-country trails nearby and it is only 3 kilometers to the Vasalopps tracks. The hotel also has stables.
You stay with breakfast included in the price. If you want to have dinner in the evening, this must be booked separately. Bed linen & towels are provided in the room. You make the beds yourself. Shower & toilet are shared and are located close to the room.
If you want to hold a conference with us, we have space for up to 70 people divided into two rooms. We also welcome school and youth groups. We welcome you for weddings, parties, accommodation, training camps, etc. We can of course arrange complete packages. Only your imagination sets the limits!
