CAR / MOTORCYCLE
Transtrand / Sälen is located 400 km from Stockholm, 460 km from Gothenburg and 740 km from Malmö. If you don't want to drive, you can easily get to Sälen either by bus, plane or train, or trains from several places in Sweden.

Sälenfjällen has worked hard to bring about the "green road" from southern Sweden to Sälen.

FLIGHT
The airport is located about 40 minutes from us towards the Norwegian border and it is possible to get there by bus or pre-booked taxi from there. Departures are available to several Swedish cities and also destinations in Europe. For more information about transfers and flight routes visit.

BUS / TRAIN
During the winter season, more direct buses go to Sälen from various Swedish cities.
Just below the hotel. About 10 minutes walk is the bus stop in Transtrand
where all buses stop. The stop is called Stina's Kiosk.
Unfortunately, we don't have any trains to Sälen. Dare we say it yet? To travel by train to us, go either to Mora and continue by bus. Or to Borlänge and continue by bus via
Malung. Both are usually easy ways to travel and take about 6 hours from Stockholm, for example.
